These adorable mummy pigs in a blanket are wrapped in flaky crescent dough and served with a tangy mustard dip. Perfect for Halloween, game day, or any party, they come together in under 25 minutes and are always a hit.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 can (8 oz) refrigerated crescent roll dough
  • 16 mini hot dogs or cocktail sausages
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tablespoon water
  • Mustard (yellow or Dijon) for eyes
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons yellow mustard
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon honey
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Pinch of salt and black pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a small bowl, whisk together egg and water to make egg wash.
  3. Unroll crescent dough onto a cutting board. If using perforated sheets, press seams together to form a solid sheet.
  4. Cut dough lengthwise into 8 strips (about 1/2 inch wide), then cut each strip in half crosswise to make 16 strips total.
  5. Place a mini hot dog at one end of a dough strip and wrap the strip around it, leaving a small gap near the top for the face. Repeat with all sausages.
  6. Arrange wrapped mummies on the baking sheet, seam side down, about 1 inch apart.
  7. Brush each mummy with egg wash.
  8. Bake for 10-12 minutes, until golden brown and puffed.
  9. While still warm, use a toothpick to dab two small mustard dots on each mummy for eyes.
  10. In a small bowl, combine sour cream, mayonnaise, yellow mustard, Dijon mustard, honey, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Whisk until smooth.
  11. Serve mummies warm with mustard dip.

Notes

For best results, use cold dough and work quickly. If dough becomes sticky, refrigerate for 5 minutes. Assemble up to 24 hours ahead and refrigerate; brush with egg wash just before baking. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat in a 350°F oven for 5-7 minutes or in an air fryer at 350°F for 3-4 minutes.
