A vibrant, bubbly sangria bursting with fresh berries and a hint of citrus, perfect for summer parties and easy to prepare in under 15 minutes.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup raspberries
  • 1 cup blueberries
  • 1 cup sliced strawberries
  • 1 bottle (750ml) brut or extra dry sparkling wine (e.g., La Marca Prosecco)
  • 1 cup freshly squeezed orange juice
  • 1/4 cup orange liqueur (such as Triple Sec or Cointreau)
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons simple syrup
  • A handful of fresh mint leaves (optional)
  • 1/2 cup sparkling water (optional, to lighten the drink)

Instructions

  1. Rinse all fresh berries gently under cold water and pat dry. Slice strawberries thinly.
  2. In a large pitcher, combine orange juice, lemon juice, orange liqueur, and simple syrup. Stir well.
  3. Add the prepared berries to the pitcher. Gently muddle a few berries to release juice without mashing all.
  4. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour to allow flavors to infuse (overnight is better).
  5. Just before serving, slowly pour in chilled sparkling wine and sparkling water if using. Stir gently to combine.
  6. Garnish with fresh mint leaves and extra whole berries. Serve immediately over ice.

Notes

For best flavor, chill the sangria base with berries for at least one hour or overnight before adding sparkling wine. Add sparkling wine just before serving to maintain fizz. Use ripe berries to reduce added sugar. For a non-alcoholic version, substitute sparkling wine with sparkling grape juice or lemon-lime soda and omit orange liqueur.
