A quick and easy recipe for tangy, refreshing homemade margaritas made with simple ingredients, perfect for sharing a cozy moment.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 oz (60 ml) Tequila Blanco (100% agave)
  • 1 oz (30 ml) Fresh Lime Juice
  • 1 oz (30 ml) Triple Sec or Cointreau
  • 0.5 oz (15 ml) Simple Syrup
  • Coarse Salt (for rimming)
  • Ice Cubes
  • Optional: Lime wheel or wedge for garnish

Instructions

  1. Rub a lime wedge around the rim of two rocks glasses. Pour coarse salt onto a small plate and dip the rims into the salt, twisting to coat evenly. Set glasses aside.
  2. Cut 2-3 limes and juice them until you have about 1 oz (30 ml) per serving. Strain to remove seeds and pulp for a smooth sip.
  3. In your cocktail shaker, combine 2 oz (60 ml) tequila blanco, 1 oz (30 ml) fresh lime juice, 1 oz (30 ml) triple sec or Cointreau, and 0.5 oz (15 ml) simple syrup.
  4. Fill the shaker with ice cubes, cover tightly, and shake vigorously for about 15-20 seconds until the outside feels cold and frosty.
  5. Strain the cocktail into the prepared glasses filled with fresh ice. Garnish with a lime wheel or wedge if desired.

Notes

Use fresh lime juice for best flavor. Shake vigorously to chill and dilute the drink properly. Use coarse salt for the rim for better texture. Adjust simple syrup to taste for sweetness balance. Chill glasses beforehand for extra refreshment. Strain to avoid ice shards.
