Instructions
- Pour green apple juice into a large punch bowl. Add food coloring if desired and stir gently to achieve a vibrant green color.
- Refrigerate the juice base for at least an hour to keep it cold.
- Just before serving, pour in the chilled lemon-lime soda. Let it settle for a minute without vigorous stirring to preserve carbonation.
- Scoop lime sherbet into the punch and gently swirl with a ladle. Leave some chunks for texture; allow it to melt slightly to create a creamy, frothy layer.
- Wearing thick gloves or using tongs, break dry ice into large chunks.
- Place dry ice chunks into the punch bowl to create a fog effect. Add gummy worms or spiders if desired.
- Serve immediately, ladling punch and sherbet mixture into cups. Warn guests not to consume the dry ice.
Notes
Never handle dry ice with bare hands as it causes frostbite. Do not seal dry ice in airtight containers as it can explode. The fog is safe to look at but should not be inhaled deeply. Serve immediately after adding dry ice for the best effect. Sherbet should be added right before serving to maintain texture.
