frozen strawberry daiquiri recipe - featured image

A refreshing and easy-to-make frozen strawberry daiquiri with just five simple ingredients, perfect for summer sipping.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup (150 g) fresh or frozen strawberries
  • 2 ounces (60 ml) white rum
  • 1 ounce (30 ml) fresh lime juice
  • 1 ounce (30 ml) simple syrup
  • 1.5 cups (350 g) ice cubes

Instructions

  1. Prepare your ingredients: Measure out 1 cup (150 g) of frozen or fresh strawberries. If using fresh, wash, hull, and roughly chop them. Juice one lime until you have about 1 ounce (30 ml) of fresh juice.
  2. Add ingredients to blender: Combine the strawberries, 2 ounces (60 ml) white rum, 1 ounce (30 ml) simple syrup, and the fresh lime juice in your blender.
  3. Add ice: Pour in about 1.5 cups (350 g) of ice cubes. For the best frozen texture, crushed ice is preferred. If your blender can crush ice well, whole cubes are fine.
  4. Blend until smooth: Pulse the blender on high speed for 30-45 seconds or until the mixture looks slushy and smooth. Stop and stir once or twice if needed to help everything blend evenly.
  5. Check consistency and taste: If the daiquiri is too thick, add a splash of water or soda to thin it out. If it’s not sweet enough, add a bit more simple syrup. Blend again briefly if you adjust.
  6. Serve immediately: Pour into chilled glasses. Garnish with a fresh strawberry or lime wedge if you like. Enjoy right away for that perfect icy sip.

Notes

Use fresh or properly frozen strawberries for best flavor. Fresh lime juice is preferred over bottled. Crush ice finely for smooth texture. Adjust sweetness and thickness to taste. Optional additions include fresh mint, orange liqueur, or sparkling water for variations. For a frothier texture, blend with pasteurized egg white.
