A nostalgic and fresh snack featuring crisp celery sticks spread with creamy peanut butter and topped with sweet raisins, perfect for a quick, wholesome treat.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 46 celery stalks, fresh and crisp
  • 1 cup (240 ml) creamy peanut butter (natural preferred)
  • ½ cup (75 g) raisins, plump and chewy
  • Optional add-ons: chopped nuts (walnuts or pecans), honey drizzle, dried cranberries or chopped dates

Instructions

  1. Wash and dry the celery stalks thoroughly using cool water and pat dry with a clean towel.
  2. Trim the ends of each celery stalk and cut into 3-4 inch segments, yielding about 12-15 logs.
  3. Spread about 1 tablespoon (15 g) of creamy peanut butter evenly on one side of each celery piece using a butter knife or small spatula.
  4. Place 8-10 raisins on top of the peanut butter in a single line to represent the ‘ants’.
  5. Optionally, sprinkle chopped nuts or drizzle honey over the logs for extra texture and flavor.
  6. Arrange the finished ants on a log snack on a serving plate and serve immediately or refrigerate for up to 2 hours before serving.

Notes

Use fresh, crunchy celery for best results. Warm peanut butter slightly if too thick for easier spreading. Assemble just before serving to keep celery crisp. Substitute sunflower seed butter for nut-free option. Store leftovers in airtight container in fridge up to 24 hours; celery may lose crunch over time.
