A fun and easy Halloween party snack featuring hot dogs wrapped in flaky crescent roll dough, baked until golden brown and decorated with ketchup eyes.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 standard beef or turkey hot dogs
  • 1 can (8 oz) refrigerated crescent roll dough
  • 23 tablespoons ketchup
  • 12 teaspoons yellow mustard
  • 2 tablespoons butter, melted
  • Pinch of sea salt
  • Poppy seeds or sesame seeds (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Line a standard baking sheet with parchment paper.
  3. Unroll the crescent roll dough and separate into triangles.
  4. Pat hot dogs dry with a paper towel to remove excess moisture.
  5. Place a hot dog at the wide end of a dough triangle and roll it around, leaving gaps to create a mummy effect.
  6. Place wrapped hot dogs seam-side down on the baking sheet, ensuring they do not touch.
  7. Brush the tops of the dough with melted butter and sprinkle with a pinch of sea salt.
  8. Bake for 12-15 minutes until the dough is golden brown and cooked through.
  9. Remove from oven and let cool for 2-3 minutes.
  10. Add two dots of ketchup for eyes and a tiny dot of mustard for pupils if desired.

Notes

Keep the dough cold to prevent tearing. Do not wrap the dough too tightly, as it needs room to expand and create the mummy look. If using turkey hot dogs, brush with a little oil to prevent drying out. For best results, use high-quality beef hot dogs.
