A quick and easy 10-minute snack featuring crispy toasted mini bagels topped with tomato sauce, melted mozzarella, and optional toppings. Perfect for any occasion and a crowd-pleaser for kids and adults alike.

Ingredients

  • Mini bagels (plain or everything)
  • Tomato sauce (marinara or pizza sauce)
  • Shredded part-skim mozzarella cheese
  • Shredded Parmesan cheese (optional)
  • Olive oil
  • Dried oregano
  • Garlic powder
  • Optional toppings: pepperoni slices, diced bell peppers, black olives, fresh basil leaves

Instructions

  1. Preheat the toaster oven or oven to 375°F (190°C) for toasting the bagels (about 5 minutes).
  2. Slice each mini bagel in half horizontally if not pre-sliced. Arrange halves cut-side up on a baking sheet and lightly brush or drizzle with olive oil.
  3. Toast bagels for 4–5 minutes until edges are golden and crisp.
  4. Remove toasted bagels from oven. Spread about 1 tablespoon (15 ml) of tomato sauce evenly on each half.
  5. Sprinkle about 2 tablespoons (20 g) of shredded mozzarella on each bagel half, add optional toppings, then finish with a pinch of dried oregano and a light dusting of garlic powder.
  6. Switch oven to broil. Place tray 4–6 inches (10–15 cm) from heat source and broil for 2–3 minutes until cheese bubbles and starts to brown. Watch closely to avoid burning.
  7. Let mini pizza bagels cool for 1–2 minutes before serving.
