A quick and easy recipe for crispy, cheesy corn on the cob made in the air fryer in just 10 minutes. The Parmesan cheese crisps to a golden crust while keeping the corn juicy and flavorful.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 ears fresh corn on the cob, husked and cleaned
  • 1/4 cup finely grated Parmesan cheese (Parmigiano-Reggiano recommended)
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted (or olive oil for dairy-free)
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon smoked paprika (optional)
  • Salt to taste (coarse sea salt recommended)
  • Freshly ground black pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) and let it warm for about 3 minutes.
  2. In a small bowl, combine melted butter, grated Parmesan, garlic powder, smoked paprika (if using), salt, and pepper. Mix well to form a spreadable paste.
  3. Using a basting brush, generously coat each ear of corn with the Parmesan butter mixture, covering all sides.
  4. Place the corn ears side by side in the air fryer basket without overlapping.
  5. Air fry at 400°F (200°C) for 10 minutes, flipping the corn halfway through to ensure even crisping.
  6. Check for doneness: Parmesan should be melted and browned in spots with crispy edges, and corn kernels tender and juicy.
  7. Serve immediately, optionally sprinkling extra Parmesan or fresh herbs before serving.

Notes

If the cheese starts browning too fast, reduce the temperature to 375°F and extend cooking by 2-3 minutes. Use freshly grated Parmesan for best crisping. Do not overcrowd the air fryer basket to ensure even cooking. For dairy-free, substitute vegan Parmesan and olive oil or vegan butter. Leftovers can be refrigerated up to 2 days and reheated in the air fryer at 350°F for 3-5 minutes.
