A quick and easy pumpkin cold foam coffee recipe that brings the cozy flavors of fall to your morning routine. Made with simple ingredients like pumpkin puree, maple syrup, and spices, this drink is perfect for impressing guests or treating yourself on a lazy Sunday.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream (cold)
  • 2 tablespoons milk (any kind)
  • 2 tablespoons pumpkin puree (100% pure, not pie filling)
  • 1 tablespoon maple syrup
  • 1/2 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice
  • 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1 cup strong brewed coffee (hot or iced)
  • 1/2 cup milk of choice (optional, for latte-style)
  • Ice cubes (if serving cold)
  • Optional garnish: extra pumpkin pie spice, cinnamon stick, or whipped cream

Instructions

  1. Brew your coffee (5 minutes). Make about 1 cup of strong coffee using your preferred method. If serving iced, let it cool slightly while you prepare the foam. If serving hot, keep it warm.
  2. Combine cold foam ingredients (2 minutes). In a small bowl or jar, add the cold heavy cream, milk, pumpkin puree, maple syrup, pumpkin pie spice, vanilla extract, and pinch of salt. Don’t mix them yet.
  3. Froth the mixture (1-2 minutes). Using a milk frother, blend the ingredients together until thick and creamy, about 60-90 seconds. The consistency should be similar to loose whipped cream—soft peaks but still pourable. Alternatively, shake vigorously in a mason jar for 60 seconds.
  4. Taste and adjust (30 seconds). Dip a clean spoon into the foam and taste it. Adjust sweetness or spice as needed.
  5. Prepare your glass (1 minute). If serving iced, fill your glass with ice cubes. If serving hot, use your favorite mug. Add milk of choice if making a latte-style drink.
  6. Pour the coffee (30 seconds). Pour brewed coffee over ice or into your mug, leaving about 2 inches of space at the top for the foam.
  7. Top with cold foam (30 seconds). Gently spoon or pour the pumpkin cold foam over the coffee. Do not stir—the layered effect is key.
  8. Garnish and serve (30 seconds). Sprinkle extra pumpkin pie spice or cinnamon on top. Add a cinnamon stick if desired. Serve immediately.

Notes

For best results, use cold heavy cream straight from the fridge. If you don’t have a milk frother, shake ingredients in a mason jar for 60 seconds. The cold foam can be stored in the fridge for up to 3 days; re-froth briefly before using. For a dairy-free version, use full-fat coconut cream and plant-based milk. Strain pumpkin puree through a paper towel to remove excess liquid for a thicker foam.
