A rustic and comforting autumn appetizer featuring creamy brie, cured meats, spiced nuts, fresh seasonal fruits, and fig jam. This easy-to-assemble board comes together in under 20 minutes without any cooking.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 wheel (8 oz) Brie cheese, rind on
  • 6 oz Salami or Soppressata, thinly sliced
  • 4 oz Sharp Cheddar cheese, cubed or sliced
  • 4 oz Prosciutto, folded
  • 1 cup Walnuts, toasted
  • 1/2 cup Almonds, raw or toasted
  • 1/2 cup Dried Figs, chopped
  • 1/4 cup Dried Cranberries
  • 2 medium Apples (Honeycrisp or Fuji), sliced
  • 1 medium Pear (Bartlett or Bosc), sliced
  • Honey, for drizzling
  • Fresh Rosemary sprigs, for garnish
  • 2 boxes Crackers (water crackers, sourdough crisps, or seeded)
  • 1/2 cup Fig Jam

Instructions

  1. Place the brie wheel in the center of your serving board as the anchor.
  2. Fold or roll the salami and prosciutto loosely to create volume, then place them in clusters around the brie.
  3. Cube the cheddar cheese and place it in small piles near the meats.
  4. Lean crackers against each other or fan them out on one side of the board to create height.
  5. Fill gaps with walnuts and almonds; use small bowls for a cleaner look or scatter for a rustic feel.
  6. Sprinkle dried figs and cranberries in empty spaces between meats and cheeses.
  7. Slice apples and pears into thin wedges or sticks and arrange them in a fan shape or scatter around the board.
  8. Place small bowls of fig jam and honey on the board; drizzle honey over the brie and nuts.
  9. Tuck fresh rosemary sprigs into gaps for garnish and fill any remaining large empty spaces with extra nuts or fruit.

Notes

Let cheese come to room temperature 1 hour before serving for best flavor. To prevent apples from browning, dip slices in lemon water if serving later than an hour. For a vegan option, swap meats and cheese for plant-based alternatives and use maple syrup instead of honey.
